Hi!
I finally managed - after 2 years - to get the "real" cabs for my 604E, the 612. It?s very big, but it has to be! After all i learned that . . .
The cabs are about 30 years old, in very good shape but fitted with that dangerous glass-fiber-wool (i don?t know how you call that).
Now i ripped it off and am looking for "the real" damping material - i thougt about "acoustic-foam".
Secondly i?m fixing my XEQ2 active crossover for bi-amping the 604E with either two AudioResearch D76A or two switching amps which i?m very, very pleased with.
Did anybody try active crossovers with a 604E?
And has anybody experiences with such a speaker in combination with switching amps?
Sorry - maybe i asked the activity-question before, but i had no time to go down on it untill now. And i messed arround with some cabs which didn?t work well (i hoped it would do less huge . . )
I?ve tried some MsteringLabs-crossovers which i borrowed from a friend - does somebody know about the Iconic 604E crossover and is it comparable to the ML one?
I wrote some (4) e-mails to Todd at Iconic but didn?t get any answer.

sorry - i was a bit confused: it?s not 612, it?s 820 i think . . .
It?s about 258L netvol. But with ONE very big horizontal opening.
